As we close out this year, I want to personally thank all our members of the Exchange Club of Las Vegas for your support, guidance, and determination to make our club successful. Let us remember that a strong Exchange Club of Las Vegas is built on several key elements:

  1. Core Values: The foundation of a strong club lies in its commitment to core values such as family, community, and country. These values guide the club’s mission and
activities, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among members.
  2. Community Engagement: Active involvement in community service projects is crucial. This includes identifying local needs and organizing initiatives that address those needs, thereby making a tangible impact on the community.
  3. Leadership and Member Development: Effective leadership sets a positive tone and motivates members. Providing opportunities for personal and professional growth through training and leadership development programs helps members become more effective in their roles.
  4. Programs of Service: Implementing structured programs of service, such as Americanism, community service, and youth programs, helps clubs organize their activities and focus their efforts on meaningful projects.
  5. National Projects: Supporting national initiatives, like the prevention of child abuse, unites clubs across the country in a common cause, amplifying their impact and fostering a sense of national solidarity.
  6. Networking and Collaboration: Building strong networks with other clubs and community organizations enhances the club’s ability to serve and creates opportunities for collaboration and resource-sharing

By focusing on these elements, the Exchange Club of Las Vegas will thrive and make a significant difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve.

Remembrance

Honoring Our Fallen Heroes: A Day of Remembrance

On December 16th, the Exchange Club of Las Vegas proudly fulfilled our mission of honoring our fallen veterans. It was a day filled with solemn respect and heartfelt gratitude as we laid wreaths at the gravesites of those who have served our nation with valor and dedication. Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

Helping our Community

On December 14th, Exchange Club of Las Vegas member Marivelle Nunez and her team at the @randrfoundation (Restoration and Recovery Foundation) proudly sponsored the Badges and Bows Winter Wonderland event. The Badges and Bows Toy Drive is an annual event organized by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Nevada Department of Corrections.
This event aims to bring holiday cheer to children and their families. The toy drive collects new, unwrapped toys from the community and sponsors, which are then distributed to the children during a special holiday party. The event not only provides gifts but also spreads joy and hope to children who have faced abuse, neglect, or other hardships. It’s a wonderful example of community support and the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
In the true Christmas spirit, Marivelle and her team, Exchange members, had a Christmas holiday feeding followed by Winter Wonderland Part 2 on Saturday afternoon, December 21st. The event brought smiles to faces young and old alike.  This festive event brought the community together to celebrate the holiday season with a variety of activities, including a visit from Santa Claus. The foundation’s support helped ensure the event was a magical experience for families and children, spreading joy and holiday cheer. Their sponsorship highlights their commitment to community engagement and support, making a positive impact during the holiday season.
